Originally from USA, Fox Meyer studied his Bachelor of Science at University of Otago in New Zealand, and was the recipient of Education New Zealand's $5,000 Think New Grant.

His research focused on how South Dunedin's geology will change with time and respond to dramatic events such as earthquakes.

He used the grant to install water sensors to monitor how changing water levels will impact South Dunedin in the future.
