Glenfield College was established in 1969 as a state co-educational secondary school (Years 9-13) on the North Shore of Auckland. For almost half a century we have nurtured our students to excel in external examinations, producing a proud record of academic achievement, exceeding the countrywide average and that of similar schools. Our supportive environment focuses on student inquiry and learning, with facilities that encourage participation in co-curricular activities, giving students the chance to thrive both in and out of the classroom.
At Glenfield College, we are proud to be one of the North Shore’s leading co-educational schools offering quality education from Years 9-13. As Principal, I invite you to explore this website, make contact, and come in to experience what Glenfield College can offer your child.
Academic achievement is our Number 1 priority. The success of last year is a testament to the quality teaching and learning at Glenfield College. I encourage you to read our latest ERO report:
Glenfield College encourages a holistic education that encompasses academic achievement, sporting participation, promotion of the Arts, and recognizing the importance of service. Our focus is to develop confident, socially responsible students who can contribute to society in a meaningful manner.
Glenfield College offers warmth, encouragement, and family-like qualities. The size of our school allows us to develop a mentoring system, which supports each student in pursuing his or her goals with confidence.
A strong sense of community is a part of what makes us unique. We genuinely want your children to enjoy coming to school every day. To ensure this occurs, we have developed a culture built on the pillars of Pride and Respect. Glenfield College is a welcoming, respectful, and fulfilling learning environment, which ensures our students feel connected.
