Postgraduate Certificate or Diploma

Summary

The purpose of the Postgraduate Diploma in Ophthalmic Basic Sciences is to provide a postgraduate qualification for New Zealand or Australian medical graduates interested in pursuing further training and specialisation in ophthalmology. We anticipate the source of enrolment will be mainly second year house surgeons in New Zealand and/or Australia. The programme may also meet the needs of trainees already enrolled in similar training programmes in other parts of the world or general practitioners. This programme, taught in conjunction with the University of Sydney, consists of four 30-point papers, which can be taken full time over a year or part-time up to five years. It is also available through Distance Learning.
