Introduction

Study general or academic English and get a nationally recognised qualification. Study may be classroom based or in the language lab and include off-site visits, giving you the opportunity to live the language.

Career and Study Opportunities

Students who complete and pass an NZCEL programme will have earned 60 credits on a nationally recognised qualification.

If these programmes are at Level 3 Applied and above, students will have access to mainstream programmes at EIT and some other New Zealand tertiary providers. The options open to you will be dependent on your NZCEL level.

Outline

Study general or academic English and get a nationally recognised qualification.

Subject areas include:

• Reading, writing, listening and speaking skills
• Vocabulary development
• Options of specialisation of General/Academic subjects from Level 3 upwards

You will have access to a language laboratory, library facilities and computer suites to support your learning.  One-to-one tutorials are an integral part of the course in order for you and your tutor to monitor progress.  You can also sign up for further help at the library or with our International Mentor if required.
