The purpose of this qualification is to equip people with underpinning electrical knowledge and basic practical skills to enter further training or entry-level employment, such as an apprenticeship, within the electrical industry and related electrical fields.
Graduates will be able to apply these skills under supervision by a licensed electrical worker in accordance with the Electricity Act 1992 and any subsequent amendments.
OutlineThis pre-trade course could lead you into an apprenticeship in the electrical industry.
After this course you will need to attend night classes for ‘off job’ (theory modules) and complete ‘on job’ practical tasks at your place of work.
The length of time it takes to become a qualified electrician is approximately four years after completing the Level 3 course.
Come in and have a chat about your study options with the staff at our Hawke’s Bay campus or, simply give us a call on 0800 22 55 348.
